Palm oil is the world´s most versatile and use vegetable oi. It is extracted from the fruits of the African palm (Elaeis guineensis) and has become a commodity used worldwide to produce a large number of products for food and cosmetic industry.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is obtained from the dried coconut pulp (copra). This oil is differentiated from other edible oils by its high content of short chain saturated acids (predominantly lauric) and its low content of unsaturated acids. Susceptible to hydrolysis, coconut oil develops a characteristic odor and taste, often described as soapy.
Stearin
Stearin is the solid fraction of an oil obtained by filtration or centrifugation after the oil has been crystallized at a controlled temperature. The palm oil fractionation produces palm stearin that is used in butter, margarine and soap.
